Silver bracelet has turned white in cleaner?
Ok, so a friend got me a toggle tiffany bracelet a few years back, guessing it was time for a clean I put it in a store brought silver cleaning solution but unfortunately it has turned white and dingy all over and looks almost rusty in the engraving, how do I fix this? Thanks for your help.
was this new cleaning solution? Did you leave it in there for long? This really shouldn’t happen. Have you tried washing the bracelet in lukewarm water with some dish washing liquid and maybe brushing it with a soft/old tooth brush? Check out the cleaning tips on the site I quote below. People will tell you to use toothpaste to clean it, but be careful with that one. Most toothpaste is abrasive and will scratch your jewelry.
