Many men don’t even want to consider a wedding until they’ve saved enough for a down payment on a home and have started contributing to their retirement fund.

Some men just have a set idea in their mind of how old they planned to be when they married. He may actually envision himself as too young to be a husband yet. You can usually tell if this is what is holding him back if you hear him make remarks about how the two of you have lots of time to settle down.

Although it’s difficult to hear and accept, another reason why he may not be ready to ask you to be his wife is he’s not completely convinced you’re the woman for him. This stings if you have absolutely no doubt that he’s the man for you. Men tend to fall in love much slower than we do. It may be that he just needs a little more time to realize how much you really do mean to him.

You don’t have to wait for him to decide whether or not he’s ready to commit to you If you are tired of putting your dreams on hold because he’s commitment phobic, there are things you can do to make him want to marry you now.
