Building Pandora Bracelets

Charm bracelets can be funky and fun, or they can be formal and fashionable. They are usually comprised of bulkier chains which can carry the weight of the charms and the “jump rings” used to attach them. This sort of bulkiness often makes them difficult to wear with lighter or more delicate garments, and many people bemoan just how easily a charm might fall from the bracelet without the wearer ever noticing the event.

So, is there a way to wear charm bracelets with any type of garment and without the risk of costly loss? Yes, there are Pandora bracelets. These are just as customized as a standard charm bracelet, but they rely upon a much more innovative and streamlined design.

For instance, instead of looking to the hefty chains and jump rings, the Pandora bracelets use a patented base that includes a threaded end and special “clips” to keep the charms secure and in place. Because of this, the bracelets never feature the standard “chain” design and are instead available as silver and gold “serpent” chains, colored cotton cords, and durable leather braids. They can be clasped with a lobster clasp, or they can rely on the special barrel clasp that gives the look of a gold or silver bead.

Pandora bracelets must all include at least two of the unique “clips” which close over the threaded ends of the bracelet and prevent the bracelet from unwinding and the beads from being lost. This is much more attractive than the standard security clasps of so many other styles of jewelry.

I am looking for an authentic pandora bead for my mom…?

Do all the “real” pandora beads have “pandora” engraved on them? How do I tell if they are authentic or not?

I’d never heard of them but I see there are a lot of sites. Try www.pandora-beads.com and you may get more information there. Or someone who knows more about them may see your question. Good luck! (I’ve just looked, and there is a complete history. I think the answer is ‘yes’ to engraving)
