Bought my girlfriend a diamond pendant for her birthday?

After some careful thought and planning i have finally purchased a .25 carat 3stone diamond pendant for my girlfriend for her upcoming birthday. We’ve been dating for almost six months and I really feel like she is the one I will eventually ask to marry me. I am 30 yrs old and make about 30k year (she knows this) Now i am a little worried that the .25 carat is too small of a diamond to buy for the woman i truly love and adore. What if she is disappointed, what if she thinks i was looking for the cheap way out. I could have gone all out and depleted my savings but i thought it would be smarter to save the money….possibly for an engagement ring next year. Not to mention money is tight lately and i have not been able to save much if anything in the last 3 months. Ladies?
