Does anyone own a Topaz?
My husband recently bought me a Topaz solitiare necklace. He paid $699 for it. It seems very light, as in weight. What were worried about is, that it may not be real. The place he bought it was a small town jewelry store. I’m going to go tommorow to another store to have it apparaised…but my question is does anyone own a topaz, is it supposed to be light, or is it supposed to be heavy?

Yes,I have a Blue Topaz ring and it is light in weight.
I think the real light colored stones are aqua marines.
I love my ring, it has held up very well for 25 years. I am sure yours is real….. I know in the old days people would say.. “Maybe its glass?” But I don’t think that happens much anymore because so there are so many precious stones on the market.
