how to make medal jewelery?
can anyone show me where i can learn the ropes as far as making legitimate jewelery. ive Always wanted to work with metal, but i cant find anything that can show me just what im looking for. i want to make metal pendants earrings rings etc. things similar to coins, with a good engraved look. ive been looking at stamping. but cant find anything that would really let me make what i want. i honestly cant put it in words but i essentially want to draw into metal. it may sound strange but im hopeing an experienced metal worker will understand.
You might try working with wood first. It’s cheaper than jumping right into metal. If you can, find an art smith who will take on an apprentice,then you’re ahead of the game. It will take a lot of grunt work but pay off in the long run. Over the years I’ve taught myself to make custom jewelry boxes and engrave glass. It might just follow because I was a diesel mechanic and am, a HO model railroader.
