Is it possible to trade a Pokemon from Crystal to Diamond/Pearl?

I heard that there is some way to trade your pokemon from the first 2 generations to Diamond and Pearl. Is this possible?

Nope. The generation gap is pretty big. Game Freak’s attempt at bridging the second generation gap has been weak at best. In order to actually compile the Pokemon you could capture in Gold/Silver/Crystal into Diamond/Pearl, you’d need a ton of resources.

Ruby/Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red/Leaf Green, Pokemon Colloseum/XD, amongst other things.

Even then you might still come up short. Gold/Silver Pokemon are pretty much scattered all through those games, and those are games that you can transfer Pokemon to Diamond/Pearl with (Colloseum/XD requires you transfer them to Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, first, however).
