I received a pearl necklace. It comes with two extra pearls in the box. What are they for?
Are the extra pearls for back up or should i make earrings with them?
There are two possiblities.
If the pearls a fully drilled they are included in case you would like to extend the necklace. If the strand is 16 inches, it may be a bit too short for many people. Two pearls would add approximately one inch to the length of the strand.
If the pearls are added, all of the knots in the strand would need to be cut, the pearls added in where they are most suited, and the strand re-knotted.
If the pearls are not drilled through, but are half-drilled, they are for earrings.
