For example, please look at this pendant and the earrings on ebay. They are not expensive, and I just think they are pretty and have a dreamy sort of medieval or fantasy look about them. But, do they look too flashy? Thanks for your opinions.

I don’t think they’re too flashy. It’s okay to even wear real diamonds sometimes, don’t worry what others think, jewelry is always in style so that’s not a problem.

Just don’t ask snobby and if someone asks where you got your jewelry don’t reply, “As if you could afford it,” that would sound snoody.
