Does anyone know about the band Silver Jews?
They are connected with Pavement, right? Wasn’t Stephen Malkmus in Silver Jews?Well anyway, if anyone knows anything about them,just tell me what you know. Best songs/albums would also be appreciated!
Malkmus is a good friend of Silver Jews’ frontman David Berman. There have been a lot of lineup changes over the years, but it primarily Berman’s project as he is the main songwriter. Not sure if Malkmus could really be considered a member, though he has recorded and performed with Silver Jews. It’s one of those projects where the frontman (David Berman) just grabs whoever he can to help him record and play his music.
Malkmus is quite noticeable on the album “American Water” which is one of their best. “Starlite Walker” and “The Natural Bridge” are also great.
