Silver Royal saddles vs Circle Y (for showing)?
Whats better Silver Royal Show saddles or Circle Y? I have a nice Circle Y show saddle but it doesnt have as much tooling and silver as I would like, and This lady would offer a trade for her Silver Royal show saddle. Here’s pictures, tell me what you think. Thanks! (:

I just want to know which brand is better, not just which has more silver.
Your Circle Y is the better saddle hands down. Don’t ever trade a Circle Y for another saddle unless it’s another Circle Y, a Crates or a Martin. Those are the only brands that can compete with the Quality and durability of Circle Y. Silver Royal saddles while they look pretty, are not made from as high quality materials as Circle Y uses in their saddles, and they often fall apart much faster. My last Circle Y was 15 years old, and it was the best saddle I ever owned. Only reason I got rid of it is because it didn’t fit my horse. And I ended up getting the exact same model only a few years newer and in the right size.
You won’t ever beat a Circle Y.
Also, if you want to add silver to your saddle, it’s MUCH better than trading or selling the one you have. Silver kits can be found on line if you Google silver saddle trim or Montana Silver Smith. That is a much better way to go.
Also for showing, judges aren’t paying attention to the saddle, they are looking at the horse and rider. So how much bling your saddle has isn’t going to make a difference in the show ring. You’d be much better off spending your money on a silver set for your saddle and a really nice blinged out bridle and breast collar. : ) You will be loosing money if you trade your saddle for that other one. It doesn’t look near as good of quality, and it looks VERY narrow, which means it could pinch your horse if it’s not the right fit. Just from the look of your horse in the picture, I doubt her saddle would fit, and then you’d be gypped out both saddles!
