Prom makeup: turquoise-ish dress & looking for what colors to use on the eyes and how to create a defined look
I have prom coming up this Saturday and I really want to have defined makeup. My dress is a turquoise-ish color with silver beading and the look that I’m going for is dramatic/intense/smoky, yet really defined. I want my eyes to stand out, yet look natural and not overly done. I’m not exactly sure how to achieve this look. How do I apply the dark colors on the corners of my eyes for best results? What colors should I use and which part of my eye should I place it to have the best results? Also, I always have a problem choosing a lipstick color. I love the outstanding red, but it never seems to look good on me.. what color should I use to get maximum results?
Thanks!
Also, I have a fair complexion, brown eyes and black hair…hope that helps!
Here are some instructional websites for achieving smoky eyes.

Also, if you’re wanting your eyes to stand out, then you don’t want your lips to stand out more (with the red lipstick). Find a neutral pink color. Practice makes perfect!
